This one hit my inbox twice this week, the first time less than 24 Hours after the death of North Korean asshole KIM JONG ILL - the second, just two days later. Yes, I'm belated, but since Persian-born, Los Angeles-based emcee MALKOVICH took the time to break out a track called Jim Kong Ill, it's only right that it be shared here on Kik Axe Music™. I'm not a big fan of texting, internet/text slang, or emoticons. I am, however, a big fan of RUN-DMC - so seeing their perennial holiday classic Christmas in Hollis get an ''Emoticon Version'' is pretty amusing - even if it's really a viral piece for an event service of some sort. I'm not sure how the ''system'' works in New York, but JA RULE is currently serving a sentence on a gun charge combined with a sentence for tax evasion at Midstate Correctional Facility (a little birdie tells me that he's set for release on 2/21/13). Despite being in the slammer since June, JA RULE has been able to keep touch with fans via Twitter, has been releasing singles and videos - and has locked in plans to release his long-awaited PAIN IS LOVE 2 on January 24, 2012 via Fontana/Universal.

You can file this one under the old NSFW category for language alone, but if your employer doesn't mind a few raunchy ryhmes in the morning, give it a go. Also, you should be warned that if you have any questions regarding the nature of Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny, you might not want to watch this.

Some sad news tonight as word as come in that rapper HEAVY D has died. Born Dwight Arlington Myers in 1967, his music as frontman of HEAVY D AND THE BOYZ filled my ears frequently during the era of the original Yo! MTV Raps back in the late 80's and early 90's. The news broke via Grandmaster Flash on twitter, where just 18 hours ago, Heavy D himself left what would be his final words to the world with the tweet: BE INSPIRED!
