Sony Masterworks announces the release of the soundtrack recording of The Adventures of Tintin on Tuesday, December 13, 2011. The original music for the film is created by the renowned American composer John Williams. The Adventures of Tintin opens nationwide in theaters on December 21, 2011.

Kik Axe Music™ has received word that Sony Masterworks has announced the release of the soundtrack of THE IRON LADY on Tuesday, December 20, 2011. Award-winning composer Thomas Newman created the original music for the soundtrack recording. The Iron Lady opens in theatres on December 30, 2011.

Official Press Release: Sony Music is pleased to announce the release on November 21, 2011 of the original soundtrack for The Artist, specially composed for director Michel Hazanavicius’ acclaimed tribute to a bygone era in Hollywood.

Set in 1927, this film is the story of a love affair between George Valentin, a superstar of silent movies (Jean Dujardin in a role that earned him the Best Actor award at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival) and the young extra Peppy Miller (Bérénice Bejo). With the arrival of sound in the movies, the end of George’s career is in sight, while Peppy is destined for stardom. The Artist has delighted lovers of classic silent cinema thanks to superb black-and-white photography – and also due to the quality of the music composed by Ludovic Bourse.

Composer BEAR McCREARY has a zombie problem, but for him it's a good problem to have. This Sunday, television audiences will hear McCreary's music as AMC begins airing season two of THE WALKING DEAD, while on November 2nd, BuySoundtrax will release his original songs and score for CHILLERAMA: ZOM-B-MOVIE.

While the 2011 remake of the 1973 telefilm DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK didn't necessarily wow audiences or critics, the original score to the film could find a life well beyond that of it's cinematic counterpart. The music for the Guillermo del Toro-produced film was composed by the duo of Marco Beltrami  and Buck Sanders, whose previous works have included the SCREAM franchise, BLADE II, and the forthcoming reboot of THE THING. Haunting from the opening of Gramophone Lullaby, the entire soundtrack is given a retro feel through the inclusion of the subtle ambiance of a record player throughout.
