There's a syndrome that affects numerous music photographers, generally those with small dicks that cover rock and metal: The watermark across the center of a photo.

Now we have a movie trailer that features a big, massively annoying URL right across the center of the image for the full 2:51 duration of the trailer. ANVIL have announced that they're hitting the road on an 'East Coast' Tour, which evidently means that they consider Chicago and Cleveland to be on the East Coast. Chicago, as you all know is a Third Coast City.

THE CHARIOT have just announced their inclusion on the 2011 installment of the SCREAM THE PRAYER TOUR. While no dates have been revealed just yet, it's been confirmed that the band will join Norma Jean, Sleeping Giant, War Of Ages, Close Your Eyes, Texas In July, I The Breather, The Great Commission, As Hell Retreats, and Sovereign Strength for the fourth annual trek featuring an assortment of Christian Hardcore and Metal acts. From the stuff we missed for review department comes BEYOND HELL/ABOVE HEAVEN (out now via Universal/Republic), the latest album from Danish rockers VOLBEAT. The follow-up to their 2008 album GUITAR GANGSTERS & CADILLAC BLOOD, Hell/Heaven picks up where that record left off, presenting a 50-minute set of metal with a distinct flavor.

When the Seattle titans from SOUNDGARDEN reunited in 2010 for a string of live dates that included a stop at Lollapalooza in Chicago, many wondered if the band would keep it together, or make the reunion short-lived. After their career retrospective TELEPHANTASM (read my review of that one here) went Platinum (a bullshit, label-inflated chart skewing by including the set with Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock), the waters were tested, and it was clear that even though demand didn't exactly match the numbers in reality, listeners were hungry for more. While the band recently announced that they'll be recording a new album this year, a sure-fire way to keep the interest flowing is to release a live album, and that's exactly what we have with the release of LIVE ON I-5 (out March 22 via A&M).

Rite Of Passage Records, a new subsidiary of Mediaskare Records has announced its first three signings: Creations, Float Face Down, and Stand Your Ground. All three will have albums in stores this year through the label.
