It's been talked about off and on for the past few months, but now the real details on SLASHER FILMS, the new  horror film company run by Grammy-winning rock guitarist SLASH in partnership with MICHAEL WILLIAMS and ROB ERIC of SCOUT PRODUCTIONS will be revealed. The trio will rip into the 2011 SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL with a Press Conference and Party to reveal their first batch of projects.

HBO is brining a new film to life based on the story of PHIL SPECTOR, the legendary "Wall of Sound" producer that was recently convicted of second-degree murder and is serving 19 years to life for the death of actress LANA CLARKSON.

ROB ZOMBIE will not be directing THE BLOB. Now that we have confirmation on that, it has been revealed by Deadline New York that Zombie has set his sights on a title that should be familiar to fans of his music. THE LORDS OF SALEM "has been put together by Haunted Films, the company run by the Paranormal Activity team of Jason Blum, Steven Schneider and Oren Peli." says the site.

Fox Searchlight has picked up a new comedy pitch with a title you can't exactly slap on a movie poster for general audiences. Daryl Wein is attached to write and direct MOTHERF***ER, a comedy about a guy that falls in love with a girl and subsequently ends up sacking her mom - hence the title.

The coming apocalypse begun when CASPER hit the big screen in the 1990's. It continued when the CGI-meets-live-action movement sucked in GARFIELD, ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS, and the lovable SCOOBY-DOO. While the near future holds SMURFS and YOGI BEAR, the word on the street is that Warner Bros. is brining that "wascally wabbit" BUGS BUNNY to the big screen - played by pixels alongside human counterparts.

Deadline reports that ELF writer David Berenbaum has been hired to pen the screenplay. With a stable of big name properties locked within the Warner Bros. archives, it was only a matter of time before someone remembered the LOONEY TOONS post that BACK IN ACTION flick.
