Are you craving a return to the glory days of the music industry? If so, MTV is reluctantly getting ready to spin you right back into the year 2000 when boy bands like *NSYNC, BACKSTREET BOYS, LFO, 98 DEGREES, and O-TOWN dominated the charts and wet the panties of the masses. That's right, the big story to kick off the week is that 2GETHER is getting back 2ge+her for a new TV movie and reunion concert.
There was a time when I thought that Jeffrey Ross was about as funny as the corpse of Greg Giraldo. If I were a complete asshole, that might mean ''hilarious,'' but in reality it meant ''not at all.'' But, as time has passed, Ross has been getting better. Indeed, the ''Roastmaster General'' has been pretty humorous of late, and if you've ever wanted to catch his act in person, now's your chance. JEFFREY ROSS ROASTS AMERICA gets started on January 18th. They're shooting a tour film along the way, so get ready to act like a moron on camera. Dates below.
Womp Womp Womp! SKRILLEX brings the techno jams under the guise of dubstep all while making shitty haircut enthusiasts and the makers of Harry Cary sunglasses happy. Aside from looking like an idiot, he also moves like an idiot while chainsmoking and appearing to fuck his laptop. If the comedy didn't hit you right there, perhaps you haven't seen this image that's gone viral over the past few days featuring Sonny Moore trying to evade an animated bee. It's great. Seriously, kid - take a shower.
12:15am on Christmas Eve and a press release hits my inbox from the camp of Mr. STEPHEN COLBERT. Indeed, the host of THE COLBERT REPORT on Comedy Central wants to wish all of you a ''Merry Christmas'' by sharing a clip from his 2008 special A VERY COLBERT CHRISTMAS: THE GREATEST GIFT OF ALL. Sure, it seems less like a gift and more like a clever ruse to get some of you to hit iTunes for a fresh download of a three-year-old comedy record, but hey - here's that video anyway! Watch Another Christmas Song below...
Next Tuesday (December 13th for the date-deficient), comic duo David Josefsberg and Jeff Gurner, better-known as JOBERG & GURNER, will see the re-release of their 2010 album MANHOOD. Picked up by Comedy Central Records for the wide-release, there's a timely new track in the mix, that being Christmas Lovin' Jew.
I believe that Nashville songstress JESSICA FRECH is obsessed with retail. First she did those People of Walmart videos, then tonight I'm watching the news and she pops up doing a similar shtick in a commercial for Hyundai. Actually, I think she might be media-stalking me through this website, YouTube, Facebook, and now my television. Then I check email, and there she is again - this time doing a parody of KATY PERRY's Friday Night, seasonally-themed as Black Friday Night. Check out the video below...
When a press release hit my inbox tonight about singer/songwriter JESSICA FRECH releasing a sequel to her popular People of Walmart video, it reminded me that I haven't been to the site that inspired it in well over a year. If they were baiting me, it worked - until I realized that the real Super Walmart down the road is populated with weirder freaks that I can see in real-life. That said, the video is pretty amusing, so check out People of Walmart Part 2 below - and just in case you're not one of the 1M+ viewers to have caught the first video, I've included that too. Hey! Is that a JUSTIN BIEBER doll in your shopping cart?

M is for Mandel! Comedy Central Records releases Mo Mandel's The M Word digital album on Tuesday, November 8th. This hilarious set from Mo Mandel covers the fear of public speaking, growing up with pot-smoking parents and why his body is not a temple. Recorded at Comedy Works in Denver, Mandel's jokes are personal and universal. You may also recognize him as one of the leads on NBC's Free Agents as well as appearances on ABC's Modern Family.
If you only know Doug Stanhope from the second iteration of "The Man Show," you don't know Doug Stanhope.
"I'm glad - if only for the experience and the first-hand knowledge of how smothered the creative process gets when you deal with television and their lot," Stanhope said. "I only wish that all the execs who called the shots were equally shamed publicly for the finished product."
