If you're itching for a little more Country in your ROCK BAND library, then today you're in luck. ROCK BAND Country Pack 2 has hit stores as a single disc collection of fully exportable songs that are available to play in ROCK BAND, ROCK BAND 2, and ROCK BAND 3. The disc is available for XBOX 360, PS3, and Wii, and features hits from JOHNNY CASH, SHANIA TWAIN, LADY ANTEBELLUM, SUGARLAND, and more. Check out the full tracklisting below.

Harmonix and MTV Games today announced that Johnny Cash will make his Rock Band debut next week with an eight pack of his greatest hits beginning Jan. 4 in the Rock Band 3 Music Store of downloadable content for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Wii™.  Nine songs featured previously in Rock Band games will also be available for free for the Xbox and PlayStation 3.

Harmonix and MTV Games today announced that songs from Blur, Rihanna and Janet Jackson will be available Dec. 21 for download on Xbox LIVE® for Dance Central™, the first controller-free, body-tracking, fully immersive dance video game, exclusively for Kinect™ for Xbox 360®.

While my "advance" copy of ROCK BAND 3 arrived just a few days prior to the game's official launch last month, there was no way to accurately review the game in such a short period of time. My fondness for the ROCK BAND franchise goes back to the release of the first game - and in fact, is the reason I got into gaming on the XBOX 360 in the first place. As a guitarist for (now) 18+ years, I was once one of the people that didn't take an immediate liking to rhythm games. That was until ROCK BAND hit and brought drums into the mix.
